Matcha Latte

If all goes well, I start my day with a matcha latte. They’re tasty and the health benefits are great.

Here’s my recipe…

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon of matcha green tea powder

  • ¾ teaspoon honey

  • 14-ish ounces of near-boiling water

  • 1/8 cup heated and frothed milk (I love the flavor of oat milk but sometimes I use 2% or skim dairy milk as well)

Instructions:

Add matcha powder and honey to your mug, add near-boiling water (be sure to leave a bit of room for your milk) and blend thoroughly. Heat and froth your milk separately and then gently scoop it on top of your mug of matcha.

This is my secret utensil—a hand-held, battery-operated frother. I use it to blend the matcha tea and then to froth the heated milk in a separate container.
